Looking for help with Fitness and Nutrition?

SLX Fitness Concepts provides personal fitness and nutrition coaching to a variety of clientele whether in home, remote, or in a gym setting. I’m Sean Levy, CEO/ Head Coach and it’s my job to provide premium quality training and care to any and all who are serious about beginning a healthy and sustainable fitness lifestyle. I’ve been serving the North Shore of Long Island, NY for the past 10 years as a Personal Trainer/Nutrition Coach. My philosophy is would be accurately summed up as a “Work Smart, then Hard” mentality. Many of us aren’t professional athletes, or young kids, so we are all more than likely suffering from some nagging pains or injuries that make starting a new exercise routine seem like more of a risk than a means to creating fitness. It’s for this reason that I’ve directed my education towards Corrective Exercise and Performance, specializing in training clients with previous Shoulder and Back injury. Testimonials

Sean taught me everything I know about nutrition and gave me an excellent jump start into my fitness. I highly recommend his service.
— Taylor Sherman

Training with Sean has really brought my game to the next level. By game, I mean everyday life (Health, attitude, parenting, Jiu Jitsu, work, etc). He not only brings a wealth of knowledge about the physical body, and its systems, but he adds in the human piece as well that really brings it all together.

About Me:

My name is Sean Levy.

I began my career as a personal trainer in April of ‘08 at Equinox Fitness in Woodbury, Long Island. I’ve always been meticulous with my education process throughout the years. My certifications include NCSF CPT, Chek Exercise Coach, Precision Nutrition, and IKFF Certified Kettlebell Coach.

Aside from my education, it was my own personal transformation jump started my passion the the fitness industry. I was a skinny kid who, although loved to be active, never made any teams. My family was not health conscious whatsoever. We come from the mindset that it’s actually age that makes you fat and would never consider our unhealthy lifestyle to be a contributor. Our menu consisted of fast food and TV dinners which may or may not have helped my father to an early death at the age of 37.

Although I’d love to that this had something to do with the start of my journey, it didn’t. Mine started as a result of pure vanity as a 21 year old kid with a desperate need for “6 pack abs” to compensate for a lack to self esteem in the dating scene. (You can refer to my transformation pics on the bottom to see if I found them). Fast forward almost 15 years, as a married man, these hollow values no longer motivate me. My wife could care less whether I’m skinny or fat as long as I’m healthy and happy. I say this not to shame those with these goals, but to share what I’ve learned of creating a lasting change in this area of life. It has less to do with the latest trend in exercise or fad diet, and more to do with your own personal growth that leads to a healthy shift in your own personal values around health and fitness. It’s my hope to help create this kind of change in those I work with, even if I have to show them their six pack abs first!
